Dynamic range can be enhanced from 30 dB to 37 dB through a licensed software upgrade as per future requirements, without any change in hardware, which ensures that as networks become increasingly complex over time, the same device can continue to perform efficiently without requiring additional capital investment. In contrast, with other brands, upgrading to a higher dynamic range typically requires purchase of a completely new OTDR.

Second variant is the Smart OTDR 100B, which comes with dual wavelengths of 1310 nm / 1550 nm and a 40 dB dynamic range. This model is widely accepted and highly popular in the telecom contractor segment due to its high dynamic range, robust performance and reliability.
Another variant of the Smart OTDR 100B (PON OTDR) is available with triple wavelengths- 1310 nm / 1550 nm along with a filtered 1625 nm wavelength- which offers a dynamic range of 41 dB. This OTDR is ideally suited for use in service and live network environments, enabling efficient testing without disrupting active traffic.
Smart OTDR Series is equipped with a 5-inch capacitive color touchscreen, ensuring smooth and intuitive operation in field conditions. It offers an extended battery backup of more than 12 hours, enabling uninterrupted testing throughout the working day. And also supports storage of up to 10,000 OTDR traces for field data testing and analysis. Additionally, it features a protected output connector compartment, enhancing durability and safeguarding optical interfaces from the dust.
